We are thrilled to be partnering with SkyDay – a project that turns photographs of the sky into citizen art. The project was created by Wilmette artist Ben Whitehouse who explains,
“This is a global citizen artwork designed to bring people together in support of our one, shared sky. Every sky photo posted is a statement by the sender that they care about our sky and want us to come together across cultures and borders to protect it for the benefit of all.”
We invite you to co-create our very own Go Green Wilmette SkyDay gallery by submitting sky photo(s) from your camera or phone. Our gallery will grow over the next four months and be exhibited at Going Green Matters on March 10, 2018. Learn more about the SkyDay Project. Visit Go Green Wilmette’s SkyDay web page here. (You must use this link to find the page: http://skydayproject.com/ gogreenwilmette) Everyone is encouraged to submit photos! Spread the word.
To submit photos, click on UPLOAD PHOTOS and then select the “GO GREEN WILMETTE” group and “UNITED STATES and click on the “X.”
To find our GGW gallery, click on REFINE GALLERY and select GO GREEN WILMETTE and USA and then click on the “X.” Look for your photo in the gallery once you have submitted it. (There will be a delay until your photo is approved by SkyDay. Photos must have only the sky – nothing else.)
SkyDayProject was exhibited at the Chicago Botanic Gardens on Earth Day, at the Adler Planetarium and is also installed on the international space station
