More than a hundred people gathered at the Wilmette Wine Cellar (http://www.wilmettewine.com) recently to celebrate another year of hard work and progress. The money raised at the event will help fund our year-round programs, events and campaigns. Guests heard about 2018 highlights like launching the Wilmette Community Solar Project, our successful fundraising effort to put solar panels on a Habitat for Humanity house for the first time in the state of Illinois, and our work to reduce waste and green local events. We also applauded Wilmette’s signing on to the Greenest Region Compact (http://mayorscaucus.org/ initiatives/environment/rec/) and the Climate Mayors Agreement. (http://climatemayors.org/) Local action matters more than ever right now and our success depends on the support of people like you. Thank you!
