Bar soap is definitely the way to go. Liquid soap now makes up 70% of the hand and body wash market and the result is a huge amount of plastic waste. You can still drop it off on the front porch of 1315 Central Avenue until Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 6pm. (Do not drop off at Public Works!)
Styrofoam will be taken to Abt Electronics to be melted into a material that can be reused. Thanks to UMF/Perfect Clean Corporation for the use of their van for transporting the materials.
Remember:
  • Styrofoam is not collected in Wilmette’s curbside program
  • White Styrofoam only
  • No peanuts
  • No food containers
