Village Board Passes Two Resolutions

On Tuesday, August 28th, the Village Board passed a resolution endorsing the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus’ Greenest Region Compact.
The Compact provides the framework for municipalities to implement their own sustainability plans. The goals of the Compact help guide coordinated efforts across the region to enhance quality of life for residents, protection and stewardship of the environment and sustainable economic vitality.
The Village’s Environmental & Energy Commission will now work toward implementing a comprehensive sustainability plan in accordance with the Greenest Region Compact.

Furthermore, Village President Bob Bielinksi has joined Climate Mayors, a nationwide coalition committing to address climate change at local levels.

Registration for the Community Solar Clearinghouse Solution Program (CS² Program) Now Available for Residents!

Following the Village Board’s endorsement of the Community Solar Clearinghouse Solution Program (CS² Program) at their December 14, 2021 meeting, residents can now start to enroll their residential and small commercial energy accounts into the Community Solar program!
