DESCRIPTION:Our popular Sustainable Yard Tour returns on July 21st\, highlighting several private yards plus the Wilmette Library’s lovely pocket prairie and some plots in the West Park community garden! Learn how gardeners make attractive and insect friendly spaces using green practices such as composting\, rain barrels and native plant species. Gardeners can share how they make their efforts affordable by sharing plants and dividing them. West Park gardeners will have tips on growing vegetables and other produce in limited spaces using sustainable practices.
