In 2021, the Village of Wilmette approved a Sustainability Plan for our village and part of that plan is to engage with local businesses about ways in which to make every business more sustainable.
This plan dovetails perfectly with the mission of GGW. GGW is offering Wilmette businesses a FREE consultation with our GGW board members on how you might want to make some small but significant changes to your business processes to be more sustainable!
This consultation would take place at your convenience and would entail talking about what sustainable practices you already employ and then brainstorming ideas about what you might want to try in the future. Sharing knowledge about this with GGW will allow us to help you make informed choices and also might help create some synergy with other local businesses who might be interested in doing similar things. We are all in this together!
GGW is also in the position of offering small “green grants” – which are small monetary awards to help you jump start an idea with little to no out of pocket cost to you.
For examples of how you could reduce your carbon footprint, see the progress that Central Station Coffee & Tea has made with our help over the years. Read More Here
We are very excited to talk with you! Click here to send us a short reply and we can get the process started.
