Go Green Wilmette partners with the Wilmette Park District to host bird walks each Sunday morning in May at Gillson Park. Migrating birds love Wilmette’s lakefront! Gillson Park is an important place for them to rest and eat on their way north in the spring, and it’s a great place for birders to see many beautiful birds. No experience is necessary, kids are welcome, binoculars are a plus but not essential. Check our Calendar for specific times and dates. For a listing of birds sighted in Gillson Park, see this listing
