Gardening the New Perennialist Way: A Piet Oudolf Story

Learn about the work of Piet Oudolf, the leading naturalistic landscape and garden designer through the personal research of landscape design consultant Deborah Chud. She’ll trace her discovery of Oudolf’s work, her research into his design principles, his ideas of structure and the balance of coherence, plant combinations, and her use of that research to create her own garden in his style. Chicago’s Oudolf Lurie Garden will be highlighted.

A retired physician based in the Boston area, Ms. Chud has presented at the Harvard University Arboretum, the U. S. Botanical Garden, and the Toronto Botanical Garden, among many others. This program is cosponsored by the Glencoe Public Library, the Friends of the Green Bay Trail, and the Glencoe Sustainability Task Force.
