Now more than ever it’s clear that we need science, solutions, and solidarity to ensure a livable future for all. Join us to learn the latest science around the climate crisis and what the Chicago area and our own community are doing to address it. We’ll hear from Edith Makra, Director of Environmental Initiatives with the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus on the Climate Action Plan for the Chicago Region which addresses two goals of net zero emissions and persistent, equitable climate adaptation. Next we’ll learn from Wilmette’s very own Julie Wolf, Chair of the Environmental & Energy Commission on the Wilmette Sustainability Plan and the very local actions that are underway. Lastly, we’ll explore ways individuals can take action and all of our panelists will be available at the end for a Q&A session.
